PostView Points

PostView Points is a basic geographical lookup table sourced from the most complete postcode database in the UK; the Royal Mail Postcode Address File (PAF). Using this information, PostView Points plots postcodes on a map and calculates the crow fly distance between all UK postcodes helping businesses and customers to answer questions such as 'Where is my nearest... from my postcode'.

PostView Points has recently been updated to incorporate the postcode changes in the Royal Mail Update 46. It also comes with a free database of all past postcode changes so you can clean your database addresses.

Alternatively, you can buy the postcode updates file, contatining all recorded postcode changes since 1990, separately.

PostView Points Simple

PostView Points Simple gives the grid reference and longitude and latitude co-ordinates for every available UK postcode to the nearest 100m.

Note: For greater detail (down to 1m), we can provide Ordnance Survey Code-Point data.

PostView Points Complex

PostView Points Complex gives more detail than PostView Points Simple, providing you with post town, locality and county data. Longitude and latitude coordinates can also be supplied with this data. This level of detail allows you to conduct postcode to town searches or find the postcode area a known place name is within.

When you simply wish to identify the postcode sector a known place name is in (for use in a GIS or website for example), we offer PostView Places.

The prices below are for a full UK single-user annual licence agreement. When you buy PostView Points Simple or Complex you also receive the Postcode Updates file for free. In addition to this, you will get updates of postcode changes, as and when they are released by Royal Mail, ensuring you are always working with the most up-to-date data.
