The challenge

After assessing two different systems, Liverpool Daily Post & Echo chose Prospex because it closely matched what the company was trying to achieve. The decision was also helped by recommendations from other users and the fact that the product has been successfully used in other parts of the Trinity Mirror group for a number of years.

The solution

Liverpool Daily Post & Echo is part of the Trinity Mirror group, Britain’s biggest newspaper publisher. With a daily and an evening newspaper that have a combined readership of over 600,000, they needed a system that would give them greater accuracy and uniformity in their paper round planning.

The company uses Prospex to plan and build rounds in its newspaper area. This has helped it to improve the efficiency of its deliveries by ensuring they are made in a logical sequence. Prospex is also used for canvassing purposes and helps the company to plan and use its territory more effectively.

The benefits

In times of increasing costs and tighter margins, Prospex has helped the Liverpool Daily Post & Echo to improve the efficiency of its daily operations.

It has also introduced standard processes so that everyone works in the same way, leading to improved levels of understanding among all staff. Output documents have a standardised content and style, giving a more professional appearance to the delivery process.
