P² People & Places geodemographic people classification
P² (pronounced pee-squared) People & Places is a comprehensive people classification that uses 2001 Census data, TGI data and geography to classify people by where they live. 
Every postcode and output area in the UK has a P² type associated with it which reveals what characteristics people who live there are likely to have. Use this data to accurately segment your market so you are targeting your resources at the right people.
The classification has recently been updated to account for Update 43 postcode changes and new head count figures.
It is used by organisations in the public and private sectors to:
